The Office of Research Integrity is dedicated to
encouraging responsible and ethical research throughout
Florida International University’s research community. It
provides broad oversight, resources and education for
integrity and compliance issues relating to the conduct of
research.
The Office of Research Integrity is committed to setting the
highest standards of quality research and continued success
by carrying out the following responsibilities:

Assisting faculty and student
researchers in meeting compliance requirements
and in achieving approval for research involving
human subjects, animal subjects, rDNA, and
export controls;

Identifying compliance risks
in our research practices and communicating
those risks to the research community;

Partnering with the research
community in effective and innovative ways to
minimize and manage research risks;
-
Educating faculty, staff and
students with respect to appropriate business
practices related to the responsible conduct of
research;
-
Implementing policy and
procedural requirements governing research
misconduct and conflicts of interest; and
-
Monitoring and correcting
non-compliance in accordance with state, federal
and University guidelines.
